The expression of RanQ69L.UASp.Tag:HA under the control of Scer\GAL4VP16.nos.UTR induces clustering of annulate lamellae at the oocyte anterior.

Expression of ranQ69L.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 results in complete female sterility.

Expression of ranQ69L.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 results in defects in spindle morphology in the oocyte (the microtubules fail to taper properly at the spindle poles) and the karyosome is disorganised.

The majority of zygotes derived from females expressing ranQ69L.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 contain a cluster of DNA and microtubules in the centre of the cell without any evidence of mitotic divisions.
