Cytology
Description

Imprecise excision of the progenitor insertion, resulting in a 6.86kb deletion that removes the entire coding sequence of tx and two neighbouring genes (Hex-t1 and Hex-t2) as well as part of CG5447. A 2.7kb fragment of the original insertion remains.

Comments

Expression of txScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR13A10 significantly rescues the wing defects of tx33-2 flies, while expression under the control of either Scer\GAL4GMR12D06 or Scer\GAL4GMR12H09 has no significant effect.
