Expressing ctHMS00924 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PU results in a significantly reduced number of branch points in the dendrites of class IV dendritic arborizing neurons in third instar larvae compared to wild-type controls.

Adult escapers expressing ctHMS00924 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 show ureters that are short and lack the lower region, have increased numbers of progenitor cells and have decreased numbers of principal cells, which disperse throughout the ureter and lower tubule, as compared to controls; renal tubule clones expressing ctHMS00924 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 display ectopic enteroendocrine-like cells (i.e. Pros-, Rab3-, Brp- and Ast A-positive, diploid cells) along the tubules, as compared to controls.

Expression of ctHMS00924 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 results in strong and penetrant phenotypes in C-IV neurons but no phenotypes in C-I neurons. DdaC, v'ada and vdaB neurons all have reduced total dendritic length compared to controls. The total number of dendritic branches is also reduced in ddaC and v'ada and vdaB neurons.
