Expression of kstβH33.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa produces a strong rough-eye phenotype with dorsal posterior roughness, loss of pigmentation and often some necrosis.

Sustained expression of kstβH33.Scer\UAS throughout eye development using the Scer\GAL4ey.200.Exel driver results in significant reduction in eye size and the occasional replacement of eye tissue with cuticle with bristle.

Expression of kstβH33.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4AB1 does not increase the diameter of the salivary gland lumen.
