Detailed Description

Expression of Hsp67BcScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF has no significant effect on adult eye morphology.

Overexpression of Hsp67BcScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 driven by Scer\GAL4elav.PLu or Scer\GAL4ey.200.Exel leads to a small significant increase in lifespan compared to isogenic controls.

Overexpression of Hsp67BcScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI fails to protect against tachypacing-induced heart remodeling. Tachypacing also induces heart remodeling in wild-type flies.

The pupal lethality of flies expressing Hsap\TARDBPTDP-35.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is rescued by co-expression of Hsp67BcScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5, but the adult flies display eye morphological defects - rough eye phenotype and partial (patchy) depigmentation.

The weak rough eye phenotype characteristic for adult flies expressing either Hsap\TARDBPScer\UAS.cRa or Hsap\TARDBPScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is not significantly modified by co-expression of Hsp67BcScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5, whereas the eye degeneration phenotype (rough eye, depigmentation, partial loss of ommatidia) observed in flies expressing Hsap\TARDBPNLSmut.Scer\UAS (also with Scer\GAL4GMR.PF) is partially rescued.

Co-expression of Hsp67BcScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 significantly suppresses eye degeneration seen in flies with expression of Hsap\ATXN3tr.Q78.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Co-expression of Hsp67BcScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 significantly decreases the eye degeneration seen in Hsap\MJDtr.Q78.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF flies.
