Expression of UbqnScer\UAS.cLa in the CNS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 does not generate statistically significant differences in life-span compared to control flies.

Overexpression of UbqnScer\UAS.cLa in the wing disc under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 results in the development of ectopic veins near L2 vein and bridges between L1 and L2 veins in all the flies. Ectopic veins are also observed near the posterior cross vein and at the distal part of L5 vein.

Overexpression of UbqnScer\UAS.cLa in the wing disc under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c causes ectopic veins primarily near the posterior cross vein and at the distal part of the L5 vein, but in only 2% of the flies,

Overexpression of UbqnScer\UAS.cLa in the wing disc under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 does not generate a significant phenotype.

Overexpression of UbqnScer\UAS.cLa in the developing eye disc under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF does not lead to any detectable eye abnormalities.

Co-expression of UbqnScer\UAS.cLa with Psn+14.Scer\UAS in the developing eye under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF leads to an increase in eye size compared to Psn+14.Scer\UAS single mutants. In addition, the irregular ommatidial packing and fusion are reduced and the number of ommatidia returns nearly to normal. Most strikingly, the 'bubble-bristle' phenotype is completely rescued. However, tufting is observed in many facets of the eye, where duplicated or triplicated bristles are found in single interommatidial regions.
