Expression of two copies of mib2Scer\UAS.cCRa under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in a severe defect in myoblast fusion in embryos, resulting in the formation of mono- or bi-nucleated thin myotubes. These mini-myotubes elongate properly and are able to contract. These embryos show early massive death of the fusion-competent myoblasts.
Expression of two copies of mib2Scer\UAS.cCRa under the control of Scer\GAL4sns.PS results in a severe defect in myoblast fusion in embryos, resulting in the formation of mono- or bi-nucleated thin myotubes.
The somatic and visceral mesoderm defects of mib21 embryos are rescued by expression of mib2Scer\UAS.cCRa under the control of either Scer\GAL4how-24B or Scer\GAL4kirre.PR.
