Reference

The expression of Decay^KK105137 under the control of Scer\GAL4^ap-md544 leads to curly but not opaque wings, which indicates growth inhibition during development without apoptosis. Upon addition of Dicer-2 (for a more efficient RNAi) wings become curled and malformed or unextended.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^C10 leads to a significant decrease in wing size, as compared to controls. Wing discs do not show changes in apoptosis (assessed by PARP:VENUS signal and TUNEL assay), as compared to controls.
