Description

The αTub84B promoter drives expression of the C-terminal half of Psn (most of the amino acids N terminal to Val314 of Psn are truncated) which is tagged with two copies of the Tag:HA tag inserted between the Gly361 and Gln362 residues.

Flies expressing PsnCTF.αTub84B.T:Ivir\HA1 are visibly normal.

Flies co-expressing both PsnNTF.αTub84B.T:Hsap\MYC and PsnCTF.αTub84B.T:Ivir\HA1 are visibly normal.

Comments

Wings containing clones of homozygous PsnC2 cells in flies expressing only PsnCTF.αTub84B.T:Ivir\HA1 still show a characteristic wing notching, indicating a failure of rescue by PsnCTF.αTub84B.T:Ivir\HA1 alone.

PsnC2 flies that co-express both PsnNTF.αTub84B.T:Hsap\MYC and PsnCTF.αTub84B.T:Ivir\HA1 are viable and fertile and have no visible developmental defects.
