The expression of Rab7JF02377 under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA does not induce an accumulation of autophagosome-like structures (Atg8a-positive) in the early third instar larval fat body, as compared to controls.

Animals expressing Rab7JF02377 under the control of Scer\GAL4grh.D4 are viable, no obvious defects in larval dorsal trunk elongation and airway morphology are observed and the larvae are of comparable size to age-matched controls.

Expression of Rab7JF02377 RNAi under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa does not perturb the structure or appearance of the adult eye compared to controls.

Expression of Rab7JF02377 in secondary cells under the control of Scer\GAL4dsx.KI reduces exosome secretion into the accessory gland lumen compared to controls.

Expression of Rab7JF02377 (co-expressed with Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa) in posterior epidermal cells under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E partially prevents phagocytic clearance of ddaC neuron dendrite debris following pupal stage dendritic pruning. In contrast, when larval dendrites are injured (severed with an infrared laser) dendritic debris is completely cleared.

The dot-like small eye phenotype characteristic for flies expressing egrScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa is exacerbated further by co-expression of Rab7JF02377 RNAi resulting in a 'no eye' phenotype with necrosis-like tissue present.
