Insertion upstream of Ptr.
Expression of PtrEP2003 under the control of Scer\GAL4Ccap.PP results in widespread, gross defects in the larval Ccap/burs neuron pattern of dendritic and axonal projections. Loss of some somata and neurites is seen. Many parts of the normal larval neuritic arbor are missing, often unilaterally (e.g. LB(A3) or LLT) or are substantially scaled back in size and complexity (e.g. MA(A4). Ectopic or mistargeted neurites are also seen. Defects in axonal and dendritic pathfinding are also seen during metamorphosis in these animals, leading to bilaterally asymmetric loss of major portions of the normal neuritic arbor and the formation of ectopic neurites throughout the pharate adult central nervous system.
Head eversion occurs normally in animals expressing PtrEP2003 under the control of Scer\GAL4Ccap.PP.
