Expression of ChATJF01877 under the control of either Scer\GAL4Tab2-201Y or Scer\GAL4repo does not induce any eclosion defect.

Expression of ChATJF01877 under the control of Scer\GAL4G0239 in adults significantly reduces 24-hour associative olfactory water-reward memory, compared to controls, with no effect on odor acuity or water preference; a significant reduction in 24-hour memory is also observed when a Gal80[ts] transgene is used to restrict expression to the adult stage.

Expression of ChATJF01877 RNAi under the control of either Scer\GAL4TyrR-Gal4 or Scer\GAL4GMR61A01 decreases male-female courtship relative to controls but does not increase male-male courtship in single pair assays.

Expression of ChATJF01877 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP2492 in adults significantly reduces medium term (3 h) aversive olfactory memory, compared to controls, with no effect on long term (24 h after massed training) aversive olfactory memory.

Expression of ChATJF01877 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP7125 in adults significantly reduces appetitive 24-hour memory, compared to controls, with no effect on 2-h appetitive memory; there is no effect of expression on aversive memory in fed flies, however, expression prevents the significant increase in 24-h aversive memory observed in controls when flies are starved until after training.
