UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of PlexAGD14483 under the control of Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371 results in defective walking pattern (uncoordinated walk with short steps and leg dragging) and impaired innervation of the leg muscles in proximal femur (failed defasciculation or insufficient elongation of axon branches) as well as distal tibia (increase in the number of branches that exit the main nerve). Similarly, expression under the Scer\GAL4VGlut.VGN6341 driver results in axon mis-projection phenotypes in the leg muscles - lack of innervation of the muscles of the femur and excessive innervation of the muscles of the tibia, expression under Scer\GAL4GMR60B11 also leads to lack of innervation in the femur.
Adults expressing PlexAGD2499 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show significantly reduced avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
Adults expressing PlexAGD2499 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show no significant change in the kinetics of high temperature (46[o]C) induced paralysis compared to control flies.
