UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Ectopic expression of ClkGD1297 in LNvs under the control of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf leads to an increase in fat body triglycerides, in particular when two copies of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf are used to express ClkGD1297. Expression of ClkGD1297 lengthens the circadian period. These mutants consume less food over a 24hr period compared to controls.
Adults expressing ClkGD1297 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
