short lived | conditional (with chkCRSPR)
chkMB04207 heterozygous adults exhibit decreased associative olfactory memory under starvation conditions, but not when fed.
chkMB04207 as well as chkMB04207/Df(2R)BSC326 mutants do not show any obvious defects in the gross adult brain morphology or any deficit in larval locomotion (assessed by speed of crawling and frequency of contraction) but display significant decrease in adult climbing ability. chkMB04207 homozygotes exhibit synaptic transmission defects (increased amplitude of evoked postsynaptic currents at 1 or 2 mM external Ca[2+], no difference in amplitude is observed at low calcium levels) at larval neuromuscular junctions, have reduced adult survival rate and lower resistance to starvation (also observed with chkMB04207/chkCRSPR transheterozygotes) as compared to controls.
chkMB04207 is rescued by chkUAS.cDa/Scer\GAL4repo.PU
The reduced climbing ability and increased sensitivity to starvation observed in chkMB04207 homozygous adults is rescued by Scer\GAL4repo.PU-driven expression of chkScer\UAS.cDa.
