The moody+tgenβ transgene rescues the viability of Df(1)moody-Δ17 flies, but not the increased cocaine sensitivity. This transgene restores the blood-brain barrier in all Df(1)moody-Δ17 flies.

Expression of the moody+tgenβ transgene provides significant rescue of the blood-brain barrier formation defect of Df(1)moody-Δ17 mutants.
