When zfh1Scer\UAS.cLa is expressed weakly in neuroblasts and ganglion mother cells and strongly in postmitotic neurons, driven by Scer\GAL4elav-C155, the ISNb becomes misrouted into adjacent hemisegments and there are disrupted interneuronal projections. At least 3 out of 12 neuroblast lineages show ectopic motor neuron projections. When this transgene is expressed strongly in neuroblasts and more weakly in ganglion mother cells and neurons, driven by Scer\GAL4s.gcm, motor nerves become thicker and too disorganized to identify and interneuronal projections are severely perturbed.
Expression of zfh1Scer\UAS.cLa in the 7-3 neuroblast lineage, driven by Scer\GAL4eg-Mz360, results in the redirection of axons from EW1-EW3 interneurons so that these axons travel laterally out of the CNS instead of medially across the posterior commissure.
Expression of zfh1Scer\UAS.cLa in the dMP2 neuron, driven by Scer\GAL422B, causes the dMP2 neuron to redirect its axon laterally out of the CNS into the lateral muscle field.
Scer\GAL4elav-C155/zfh1UAS.cLa partially rescues zfh15
Scer\GAL4elav-C155/zfh1UAS.cLa partially rescues zfh15/zfh175.26
Scer\GAL4s.gcm/zfh1UAS.cLa fails to rescue zfh15
Scer\GAL4s.gcm/zfh1UAS.cLa fails to rescue zfh15/zfh175.26
zfh15 and zfh15/zfh175.26 embryos expressing zfh1Scer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 show a substantial rescue in the ability of the ISNb and SNa nerves to exit the CNS, but does not rescue the ISN projection defects.
