ScerGAL4NP6558 (ato)-expressing olfactory receptor neurons arrive at the antennal lobes at 18 hours APF.
Ablation of ato-positive olfactory receptor neurons by expressing Rcom\RAUAS.FRT under the control of Scer\GAL4NP6558 together with Scer\FLP1ey.PN leads to the disorganization of the whole antennal lobe and fuzzy glomerular borders. Axons of amos-positive olfactory receptor neurons Or67d, Or47b and Or88a fail to form the commissure, are misrouted and some accumulate outside of the antennal lobe.
