Expression of par-6Scer\UAS.cKa in amnioserosa under the control of Scer\GAL4332.3 has no significant phenotypic effect on actomyosin assembly-disassembly cycles.

In 1X(par-6Scer\UAS.cKa); Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 flies, border cell migration is delayed in 15% of stage 10 egg chambers. This is increased to greater than 50% when 2 copies of par-6Scer\UAS.cKa are present.

The co-expression of par-6Scer\UAS.cKa and aPKCCAAXWT.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 leads to a severe tumor phenotype in third instar larval wing discs, as compared to controls.

Co-expression of par-6Scer\UAS.cKa and aPKCCAAXWT.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4332.3 significantly reduces the network pulse frequency for actomyosin assembly-disassembly cycles. Lull times are also significantly higher than in wild-type, and have wide variation. However, pulse durations are statistically indistinguishable from those of controls. Some cells with par-6Scer\UAS.cKa plus aPKCCAAXWT.Scer\UAS overexpression never form actomyosin networks.

The percentage of stage 10 egg chambers in which border cell migration is delayed is increased in 1X(par-6Scer\UAS.cKa); Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 flies from 15% to 83% by the presence of bazScer\UAS.cKa.
