Overexpression of spasScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c almost completely eliminates microtubules, without causing substantial differences in cell shape.

Overexpression of spasScer\UAS.cSa in class IV nociceptive neurons, under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 results in a strong reduction in dendrite branch complexity. futsch-positive neuronal microtubules are reduced in these arbors compared to controls.

Ectopic expression of spasScer\UAS.cSa in class I ddaE neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4221 results in disruption of arbor morphology.

When spasScer\UAS.cSa is driven by Scer\GAL4sca-537.4, at 23oC, the ventral nerve cord (VNC) collapses onto the midline and discrete longitudinal bundles are no longer apparent. When spasScer\UAS.cSa is driven by Scer\GAL4spin.PN mutant animals do survive to the third instar. When spasScer\UAS.cSa is driven by Scer\GAL4G14 the microtubule network normally seen in muscles is erased.
