Expression of tsrScer\UAS.cNa (using tub-Gal80[ts] to limit the expression to the adult stage) under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU does not significantly alter 3 hr memory of adult flies in an aversive olfactory assay compared to controls.

Expression of tsrScer\UAS.cNa under the control of Scer\GAL4109(2)80 results in the formation of Act5CScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP accumulations in neuronal dendrites, with occasional rod-like structures forming.

Overexpression of tsrScer\UAS.cNa in mushroom body neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4OK107 does not result in gross axon or cell proliferation defects.
