      Rpd3X5/Rpd33-10 mutant larvae survive until the pupal stage. Wing discs are dramatically reduced in size compared to wild-type. This reduction in size appears to be due to a proliferation defect.

      Heterozygotes raised on medium containing trichostatin A (TSA) do not show an increase in the rate of lethality or developmental delay compared to wild-type flies raised on medium containing TSA and in fact the lethality caused by TSA is weakly suppressed in heterozygotes compared to wild type.
