The expression of Mmp1f1.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 (and Dicer-2 for a more efficient RNAi) induces notches along the wing margin.

In females with expression of Mmp1f1.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4GMR47A04, some mature eggs rupture and most released eggs retain some follicle cells.

Expression of Mmp1f1.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PH results in short stubby, easily broken bristles on the thorax of adult flies.

Scer\GAL4elav.PU-mediated expression of Mmp1f1.Scer\UAS interferes with embryonic motor axon guidance: ISNb and SNa morphology/path-finding is disrupted, and exhibit phenotypes consistent with increased motor axon fasciculation. Expression via Scer\GAL4repo.PU has similar effects but with lower penetrance; the number and position of repo-positive glia are unaffected. Mis-expression of Mmp1f1.Scer\UAS in mesoderm or in hemocytes does not result in motor axon phenotypes.

Expression of Mmp1f1.Scer\UAS in border cells, driven by Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 does not affect the formation of the egg chamber apical cap or the migration of the border cell cluster to the oocyte.

Mmp1f1.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4GMR.PF flies have normal eyes. The thoracic macrochaetae of Mmp1f1.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4dpp.PH flies tend to break of shortly after eclosion.
