Detailed Description

The expression of banD.UAS.EGFP under the triple control of Scer\GAL4VP16.nos.UTR, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4VP16.otu leads to a significant increase in germline stem cells per germarium, as compared to controls.

Expression of banD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407 in larval brains leads to an increase in the size of secondary neuroblasts and an increase in the nucleolar size in secondary neuroblasts, but no obvious change in the size of type II neuroblasts or type II neuroblast nucleoli, as compared to controls.

Expression of banD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4C855a results in overproliferation of the optic lobe neuroepithelia in larvae.

When banD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP is driven by Scer\GAL4en-e16E overgrowth is seen in the posterior compartment of the wing and of segments in the larval body.

Co-expression of MycKK103869 suppresses the increased nucleolar size seen in secondary neuroblasts in larval brains expressing banD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407.

Co-expression of banD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP leads to enhancement of the ectopic neuroblast formation and increased neuroblast number phenotypes seen in larval brains expressing NScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5,T:Zzzz\His6 under the control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407.

Co-expression of banD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP fails to suppress the ectopic type II neuroblast phenotype seen in larval brain clones expressing numbTS4D.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Expression of banD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP, bearing only a 100bp region containing the ban miRNA suppresses degeneration in Hsap\MJDtr.Q78.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 Scer\GAL4GMR.PF flies, restoring external and internal eye structures towards normal.
