leg | distal, with Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1
Expression of hth1-487.Scer\UAS.T:Hsim\VP16 under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 results in extremely reduced or missing eyes. The proximal portion of the antenna appears normal, but the arista is abnormal, with the phenotype varying from fusion of the base or loss of the spines to its complete absence. The proximal segments of the leg (coxa, trochanter and proximal femur) are unaffected but the distal structures of the leg are deformed and condensed together. In most cases, all distal elements, including the claws, can be detected. The sex combs can be seen on the first leg of males, but the organisation of the teeth is abnormal. Birfurcations are also seen in the distal parts of the leg.
hth1-487.VP16.UAS/Scer\GAL4Kr.PM partially rescues hth64-1
The localisation and number of LCh5 neurons is rescued in abdominal segments A1-4 in hth64-1 embryos expressing hth1-487.Scer\UAS.T:Hsim\VP16 under the control of Scer\GAL4Kr.PM.
