Generation of ktoT241 clones specifically in the leg (using Scer\GAL4Dll-em212 and Scer\FLP1Scer\UAS.cUa) and in a Minute background results in severely stunted legs. In an other wild type background, these clones result in tarsal segmentation defects in all three paris of adult legs. Male prothoracic (T1) legs exhibit sex combs with slightly reduced teeth number but mostly aligned sex combs. Legs show strong distal leg shortening, and the most proximal tarsal joint as well as more distal joints are usually abnormal.

Generation of large ktoT241 clones specifically in the eye (using Scer\FLP1ey.PB) in a Minute background results in the eye failing to differentiate ommatidia.

Heat-induced ktoT241 clones in the adult notum are associated with loss of bristles.

Generation of large Cdk8K185 clones specifically in the eye (using Scer\GAL4ap-md544 and Scer\FLP1Scer\UAS.cUa) in a Minute background results in extensive loss of notal macrochaetes.

ktoT241 clones in the anterior compartment of the wing disc which touch the anterior-posterior boundary often cross into the posterior compartment.

Clones in the eye contain few or no photoreceptors. The few that remain are found in posterior regions of the clone, and die later in development. Clone size is normal and clones do not interfere with the spread of differentiation-promoting signals. Antennal disc cell fates are also altered.

The distal leg phenotypes provoked by Cdk8K185, ktoT241 double mutant clones induced specifically in the leg (using Scer\GAL4Dll-em212 and Scer\FLP1Scer\UAS.cUa) are indistinguishable from ktoT241 alone but distinct from Cdk8K185 alone, both for sex comb differentiation and for overall leg structure.

The phenotypes of Cdk8K185, ktoT241 double mutant clones induced specifically in the eye (using Scer\FLP1ey.PB) in a Minute background are indiscernible from ktoT241 alone.
