Most clones in the wing pouch expressing brkScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP are eliminated from the epithelium soon after clone induction in late first instar larvae.

Clones in the eye disc expressing brkScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI prevent initiation of the morphogenetic furrow when they are at the posterior margin of the disc.

Ubiquitous expression of brkScer\UAS.cLa driven by Scer\GAL4da.G32 results in dorsal expansion of the salivary gland placodes but no extension along the anterior posterior axis.
