Expression of shgdCPc3.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-rs when drive by Scer\GAL4neur-P72 does not perturb the orientation of the pI and pIIb divisions in the sensory organ lineage. However, the axis of the pIIa division is altered. In wild-type this cell divides in the same orientation as its mother. 38% of pIIa cells divide at an α angle of more than 20o (compared to 2% for wild-type). Also in 60% of the dividing pIIa cells the mitotic spindle does not line up with the anterior accumulation of shgdCPc3.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-rs.
