tarsal segment 4 & leg sensillum, with Scer\GAL4ap-md544
When B-H1Scer\UAS.cSa is driven by Scer\GAL4lz-gal4 in the eye disc, furrow migration is blocked and photoreceptor differentiation is eliminated.
Expression of B-H1Scer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PB results in deletion of the eye.
Expression of B-H1Scer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 blocks furrow formation in the eye disc.
Overexpression of B-H1Scer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 results in ectopic fold formation in the leg disc along the boundary of B-H1 expressing and non-expressing cells. The formation of the endogenous central fold is interrupted. No ectopic folding is seen prior to the onset of central folding. Overexpression of B-H1Scer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 occasionally results in the partial transformation of tarsal segment 4 into tarsal segment 5; the ventralmost bristle at the distal tip of segment 4 is transformed from a thick, black bristle (characteristic of segment 4) into a thin and less-pigmented bristle (characteristic of segment 5). Tarsal segments 4 and 5 are partially fused with each other.
B-H1UAS.cSa/Scer\GAL4lz-gal4 partially rescues Df(1)Bar
B-H1UAS.cSa/Scer\GAL4B-H1.B4.5.B-H2.S8 partially rescues Df(1)BH2
Scer\GAL4B-H1.B4.5.B-H2.S8-driven expression of B-H1Scer\UAS.cSa rescues the microchaetae phenotype but not the PS macrochaetae phenotype of Df(1)BH2.
