Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Animals expressing proshs.PM using heat shock for 1 hour at 14 hours after puparium formation show fairly severe balding in the notum; 90% of the flies lack approximately 20% of the microchaetae. Double bristles are seen at the edge of the bald areas, and very rarely, triple bristles are seen.

Flies expressing proshs.PM between 15-20 hours after puparium formation using heat shock show partial balding of the notum.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

When proshs.PM and svp1.hs are co-expressed after heat shocking mutant pupae at 32oC for 6 hours starting at 10 hours APF, a reduction in external structures on the adult antenna is seen. No alteration in the numbers of glia or neurons is seen.
