Tag:MYC is fused to amino acid 10 of Su(H) coding region, which is then fused at its carboxy-terminus to amino acids 19-105 of Hsim\VP16. Expression of the construct is governed by UASt regulatory sequences.

The expression of Su(H)Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Hsim\VP16 under the control of Scer\GAL4lz-gal4 leads to significant increases in both the number and size of third instar larval circulating crystal cells, as compared to controls.

Stage 13 embryos expressing Su(H)Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Hsim\VP16 under the control of Scer\GAL4sim.P3.7 have approximately 16 anterior midline glia (AMG) compared to six in wild type. By stage 16 the number of AMG has reduced to 7, compared to three in wild type.

When Su(H)Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Hsim\VP16 is driven by Scer\GAL4how-24B in the mesoderm differentiation of the visceral mesoderm is disrupted.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 adult wings show ectopic margin structures, similar to those induced by 'intra' forms of N.
