armact.Scer\UAS expression driven by Scer\GAL4C96 results in ectopic bristles on the wing blade.

Clones in the eye expressing armact.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS do not produce photoreceptors in the centre of the clone. Towards the periphery of the clone, ommatidia containing reduced numbers of photoreceptors are seen. Normal ommatidia are formed at the interface between the clone and wild-type tissue, where polarity inversions are seen on the polar side of the clone, but not on the equatorial side. Polarity inversions are seen in clones induced in the equatorial regions of the eye, but not in those induced in polar regions.
