      Body colour: lighter than wild-type in body and wing, strongly so in thoracic and leg macrochaetae with wing and abdominal bristles unaffected. Hemizygous males have a less severe body and wing cuticle pigmentation phenotype than y2 flies. The phenotype of y+lnsx1 flies is identical to that of y+ns su(Hw)2 double mutant flies.
