Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Coexpression of P{hs-lbe} and P{hs-lbl} by triple heat-shock treatments (15 minutes each) between 4 and 9 hours AEL causes strong abnormalities in the dorsal denticle pattern of wild-type embryos.

Overexpression of lblhs.PJ at 5-6 hours AEL leads to a significant hyperplasia of heart progenitor cells.

Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

When lbehs.PJ and lblhs.PJ are co-expressed in embryos (by heatshock induction) gaps in somatic musculature are seen associated with a significantly enlarged heart area.

Embryos expressing both lbehs.PJ and lblhs.PJ at 5 hours after egg laying (using heat shock) contain supernumerary myoblasts which fuse to form enlarged segmental border muscles in approximately 70% of hemisegments.
