en^LI034 mutant embryos have pattern deletions in the posterior part of each segment in the cuticle. The phenotype of fu⁴¹ en^LI034 double mutants can be interpreted as an addition of the corresponding single mutant phenotypes.

Homozygous embryos have abnormal segments. vg^W/en^LI034 flies have a slightly different phenotype to vg^W flies, with more disrupted wings. These sometimes have holes with the dorsal and ventral wing blades fused around the hole. Wing margin is often seen in the transformed haltere, and legs are sometimes defective.
