      When expressed in the absence of the normal testis isoform P{β2β3-Neo} and P{β2β3-pW8} support assembly of one class of functional cytoplasmic microtubules, normal mitochondrial derivative elongation occurs; axoneme assembly, meiosis and nuclear shape changes do not occur.
