Overexpression causes bristle abnormalities.

Overexpression of Su(z)2^hs.PS produces bristle abnormalities.

(Platero et al., 1996)

Heat induction results in bristle abnormalities on the head, notum, scutellum, costa, leg, abdomen and double and triple rows of the anterior wing margin. Synergistic interaction exists with Su(z)2^Arp1, double heterozygous flies raised at 25 or 29^oC display an enhanced bristle phenotype.
