Rescues postembryonic phenotypes (wing blisters, disorganized photoreceptors and held-out wings) of mys11 and mys8. One copy rescues the dorsal hole phenotype of mys11 embryos, but these embryos rarely hatch. Two copies rescue embryonic development; the embryos hatch and have normal larval morphology, but are not rescued to adulthood.
Construct can functionally replace endogenous mys expression in most embryonic processes.
