Expression of seqScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long induces the R7 photoreceptor cells in sev3 mutants to switch from targeting the M3 layer of the medulla to the M6 layer.

SosJC2 does not suppress the mutant phenotype, R7 cells are absent from ommatidia.
