Males heterozygous for Scr13Ashow a significant loss of sex comb bristles.

Homozygous clones in the proboscis are completely transformed towards maxillary palp identity and pseudotrachea do not form.

Scr3/Scr13A, Scr5/Scr13A, Scr7/Scr13A, Scr8/Scr13A and Scr14/Scr13A flies have a reduced number of rows of pseudotrachea on the proboscis compared to controls.

Heterozygous males have a reduction in the number of sex comb bristles on the prothoracic leg compared to wild-type males.

Homozygous clones induced at the blastoderm stage or larval stage cause autonomous transformation of the first leg into the second leg. Clones in the proboscis autonomous transformed the labial palps into maxillary palps. Scr13A Ubx1 clones induced at the blastoderm stage is the additive phenotype of Scr13A and Ubx1 clones, prothorax is transformed to metathorax.
