A 24-bp deletion that spans an intron-exon junction and results in a frame shift in the g-RB and g-RD transcripts, and also ablates the ATG start codon of the g-RF transcript.

Eye colour: red pigments are reduced to 25 +/- 1% of wild-type levels, brown pigments are reduced to 28 +/- 5% of wild-type levels in females. Red pigments are reduced to 38 +/- 3% of wild-type levels, brown pigments are reduced to 37 +/- 3% of wild-type levels in males. Malpighian tubule colour: very pale-clear (wild-type colour is orange). Testis colour: yellow (wild-type colour is bright yellow).

22% normal red pigment and 23% normal brown pigment.

Malpighian tubule colour: extremely pale yellow.

Eye colour: like g2. RK1.
