Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Homozygotes have a similar eye phenotype to ast1, but wing venation is normal.

S1/ast3 hatches late, has normal wing veins, and small eyes, similar to but slightly larger than S1/ast1. RK1A.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

S1 ast3 flies are late hatching, those flies which emerge have good viability and fertility, normal wing venation and extremely small eyes. The phenotype is dominantly enhanced by E(S)1; ast1 E(S)1 double heterozygotes have rough eyes.
