Comments

Imprecise excision of the progenitor P{EP}G1390 insertion has resulted in a 20-30kb deletion which removes the whole Vinc coding sequence, the msta gene and part of Mct1.

Df(1)Vinc2 homozygotes do not exhibit obvious morphological defects in embryonic muscles, including lack of detachment phenotype, no significant differences in the crawling speed of third instar larvae, and no wing morphology defects, but the termini of indirect flight muscles presents frayed and expanded F-actin, as compared to controls.

Homozygous adults are viable and do not have any visible mutant phenotypes.
