UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a full-length Pdf cDNA, mutated to carry R80A and K81term amino acid substitutions. The nonsense mutation replaces one residue of the putative prohormone convertase target site (K81-R82) with a stop codon, resulting in the transgene producing a cleaved PDF-associated peptide (PAP) with a R80A amino acid substitution at its C-terminus.
