UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of Hsap\SRSF1 carrying amino acid substitutions I32A and V35A. This combination of mutations has previously been shown to intervene with the U1-70K binding sites of the RRM1 domain, and the protein is expected to be splicing-defective.
