The Burs promoter is fused upstream of Mmus\Cd8a fused to EGFP, followed by the "T2A" peptide from Thosea asigna and the GAL4 coding region. The "T2A" peptide supports ribosomal skipping, allowing the downstream GAL4 protein to be translated independently of the membrane bound Mmus\Cd8a-EGFP fusion protein, resulting in a functional GAL4 driver expressed under the control of Burs regulatory sequences.
