ScerGAL4CCAP.PP drives expression in adult CCAP neurons as well as two CCAP negative EH neuroscretory neurons.
Drives expression in CCAP neurons.
ScerGAL4CCAP.PP drives expression in a subset of peptidergic neurons in the larval ventral nerve cord and in one pair of peptidergic neurons in the embryonic/larval protocerebrum. In the adult labeled neurons are detected in the posterior part of the thoracico-abdominal ganglion and in the subesophageal ganglion only at 0-6h after eclosion. Expression in the superior protocerebrum persists until at least 3-4 days after eclosion.
ScerGAL4Ccap.PP drives expression in a subset of CCAP neurons in the adult brain, including neurons in the subesophageal ganglion that extend their axons along the midline to the anterior brain.
ScerGAL4Ccap.PP drives expression in a subset of neurons in the ventral nerve cord, including: one pair of laterally located neurons in each of the first two thoracic neuromeres (T1-T2), two pairs in the third thoracic and first four abdominal neuromeres (T3, A1-A4), one pair in the next three abdominal neuromeres (A5-A8), and weak expression in the three pairs in the last two abdominal neuromeres (A8-A9). The neurites also showed strong expression of ScerGAL4Ccap.PP.
Larval expression is observed in CCAP-positive neurons: 2 pairs of neurons in the brain, 5 pairs in the subesophageal ganglion, 1-2 pairs in each of eight ganglia in the ventral nervous system.
