Description

Transgenic construct used to study the MCP silencer from the Abd-B gene. Contains the Ubx PBX enhancer, a sub-fragment of the MCP element (contains residues 538 to 675 of the full-length 822bp sequence) in which two putative Trl protein binding sites have been mutated, and a lacZ reporter that is driven by the proximal Ubx promoter.
