Expression in adult abdomen not confined to males; expressed in most dorsal abdominal longitudinal fibers and genital muscles of both females and males.

Expression first observed in mid-pupal stage (168hr pupa) in the mesothoracic extracoxal depressor muscle 66; expression in this tissue persists through late pupal and early adult stages. Expressed in many tubular fiber muscles, but not in the fibrillar indirect flight muscle. In adult, expressed in discrete muscle groups, including direct flight muscles in the thorax, muscles in the legs, supportive muscles between the head and thorax and between the thorax and abdomen, in the male abdominal 5 muscle, and in the male genital muscles. Expression also observed in the scutellar pulsatile organ.
