Expression is observed in around 25 paired R7 and R8 cells along the dorsal anterior margin of the eye, as well as in 30% of other R7 cells. Expression is also observed in an arc of photoreceptor synaptic terminals along the dorsal posterior rim of the medulla neuropil.
